Dredge Robotics March Safety Awards 2025

At Dredge Robotics, we believe that safety is everyone’s responsibility—and when one team member goes above and beyond, we make it a point to celebrate their impact. This month, we’re proud to congratulate Lewis Barnard, our Electrical Supervisor, and the recipient of this month’s Safety & Leadership Award.

Lewis has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose, integrity, and a proactive mindset. His recent work on Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures has had a significant impact across the business. From developing clear and effective LOTO protocols to delivering practical, high-quality training sessions for the broader team, Lewis has helped ensure that our people are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe in complex and high-risk environments.

During a recent phase of robot testing, he took the lead in establishing a secure and clearly defined work zone. Through the use of robust barricading and the implementation of physical exclusion zones, Lewis ensured that the risk area was properly controlled and that safety remained a top priority throughout the testing process. His attention to detail, forward thinking, and commitment to best practice were noted by colleagues and supervisors alike—and serve as an excellent example of field leadership in action.

Lewis continues to raise the bar for what safety leadership looks like at Dredge Robotics. His actions reflect a deep commitment to not only the wellbeing of his team, but also to the values that define our company: integrity, excellence, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement.

Congratulations, Lewis, and thank you for your ongoing contribution to a safer, smarter workplace. We’re proud to have you on the team.
